C.” Anderson, 92, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson City. He was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo., to Fredrick William and Rose Krautlager Brucker. He was raised by A.N. and Maggie Anderson, and later adopted by A.N. and Bessie Anderson. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1943.A Stanton County resident for most of his life, Mr. Anderson was a farmer in Stanton County and also drove an over the road truck throughout his life.On April 8, 1944, he married Betty J. Long in Big Bow. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Vicky Ellis of Richfield, and Gayla Gaines of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Helen Chamberlain of Coppell, Texas; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marsha Anderson; a brother, Fred Brucker; a sister, Edna Bulick; and a stepsister, Marie Maher.Graveside memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City. Anderson, Scott E. Age 33 Scott E. Anderson, formerly of Grand Island, died unexpectedly on August 27, 2017 at his home in Omaha, NE. Scott was born on March 15, 1984 in Broken Bow, NE, to Gregory Scott and Sally Lynn (Martens) Anderson. Scott was accepted into the JD Edwards Honors Program (now known as the Raikes School of Computer Science and Management) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (2006) and Master of Business Administration (2007) degrees. While at UNL, Scott was an active member of Pi Kappa Alpha, and studied at Oxford University in England. Scott traveled widely in Europe. One memorable experience was skydiving over the Swiss Alps. After leaving UNL, Scott pursued his dream of working for Cisco Systems in Silicon Valley, CA. Scott later returned to Nebraska, working in the field of information assurance at Mutual of Omaha and National Indemnity Company. Scott is survived by his parents, Gregory and Sally Anderson of Grand Island, NE; brother, Noah Anderson of Omaha, NE; and niece, Bethany Anderson of Omaha, NE; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents: Irvin Martens, Ione Martens, Maurice Anderson, and Elaine Anderson. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE: 11am Saturday, September 2, 2017, at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island, NE. Private committal of ashes will be scheduled at a later date.
